Description

This ramshackle-looking place in the Third Ward houses a cozy Louisiana comfort food joint. (Ramshackle-looking on the outside, at least - the interior is tidy.) They have gumbo, okra, fried shrimp and boudin representing the cuisine of our near-east neighbors. (The shrimp, butterflied and served by the half dozen, are particularly popular.) Soul food is served in steam tables, but when it's gone, it's gone. Louisiana Creole also may or may not have everything on the menu available to order on any given day - it's just the kind of casual, family-run neighborhood place where that's not such a big deal. You can get your food to go or eat in the dining room.
