Description

LA Weekly's Description

Located in San Marino, the Huntington Library is one of the most beloved and bucolic spots in the Southland. With a massive art collection and a newly refurbished Japanese Garden, itÂ’s the perfect place to come and reflect. One of the Huntington's most visible landmarks is the Japanese Garden, with a network of koi ponds, a dramatic half-moon-shaped bridge and a traditional Japanese house.

Merchant's Description

Building on Henry E. Huntington’s legacy of renowned collections and botanical gardens that enrich the visitor, The Huntington today encourages research and promotes education in the arts, humanities, and botanical sciences through the growth and preservation of its collections, through the development and support of a community of scholars, and through the display and interpretation of its extraordinary resources to the public.

The whole place is spectacular, but I'm particularly partial to the cactus garden, which looks like it's a set from a low-budget sci-fi movie.
