Two ways to experience the museum 1) for a tour and 2) for an event. Each are interesting, although the events are a lot more interactive

Going in the middle of the week will usually get you a private tour. Great place for Victorian geeks and L.A. history buffs.

A living history museum that explores the settlement and development of Southern California during its first 100 years of statehood.

On Oct. 26, learn about death and mourning etiquette during the Victorian era, the movement of Spiritualism, and how other cultures celebrate and remember their loved ones. Oct. 27 is family-friendly.
