Description

LA Weekly's Description

Many restaurants resemble this place - from the cheap margaritas, to the "Mexican pizza" available in the ever-crowded bar, to the walls decorated with broken mirrors, to the wire-mesh-enclosed patio with its plastic smog-dusted foliage and visiting local sparrows, to the guacamole dinners, to the ersatz tostadas - but I could pick an El Coyote combination plate blindfolded out of 100 others, and most of the regulars could, too.

Sharon Tate, eight months pregnant, and a group of friends came here for a quick meal at 10 p.m. on Aug. 8, 1969. It would be her final meal. She would later be murdered by followers of Charles Manson

My fiancé and I sat in the booth where Sharon Tate had her last meal before her tragic death. Kinda creepy but nice decor. The food was excellent and the service was great.

Go to El Coyote and order a large spicy salsa

Go to El Coyote and order ostrich tacos and scratch margaritas. One of the all-time best LA meals.
