Tucked away behind a group of trees, Lomonte?s goes for the romantic vibe. The emphasis on good wine only adds to that, and the reasonable prices help keep the alcohol flowing. Food-wise, Lamonte?s does semi-upscale Italian; one of their most popular dishes is the Shrimp Scampi Lomonte, which is made with garlic infused olive oil, white wine, artichoke hearts and more garlic, is popular. In addition to seafood, Lomonte?s has many chicken and beef selections, as well as an extensive dessert menu. Bands serenade diners with live music on the weekends.

    Ignore every other restaurant review I've ever done - THIS is my favorite restaurant! I can't seem to move on from the Veal Saltimboca. And the live music on the weekends isn't too loud or distracting. Ask for a seat on the bar patio if there's live music! But good luck - the acts are worth seeing and fill up the patio fast..

    One of the best Italian restaurants in Houston, with a traditional Menu complimented by a fantastic wine list. The Sommelier Ben is fantastic and his wine choices superb. If you can, catch one of their famous wine pairing meals only held twice a year! Divine!

    Perhaps it's the flour, seasoned with Italian spices and parsley, used as the batter which makes them so incredibly crispy and greaseless; maybe it's the homemade picante sauce Lomonte's serves along with a terrific marinara sauce that you dip them in; then again, maybe it's the tiny pieces of squid the restaurant uses — no jaw-breaking pieces here — that make them the best in town. Whatever it is, these things are addictive, and once you start eating them, they go down so effortlessly that you'll soon be staring at an empty platter wondering where they all went.
