LoHi SteakBar is one of the stranger animals to come out of the second-generation gentrification of the Highland area. A neighborhood place that is both upscale and casual at the same time, it is a steakhouse writ small, a local tavern and a destination restaurant all rolled into one. Service is professional, the room is comfortable, and the menu is simple and straightforward, with plenty of bar snacks and a solid spread of entrees for those looking for something more substantial. And since chef Sean Kelly is working behind the burners, all of the food is very, very good.

I really enjoy this restaurant for many occasions. You can be dressed up and headed out for a night on the town or come in with your chucks and baseball cap and still feel completely at home. They have a great menu with awesome drink specials throughout the week. The steak salad is my personal favorite paired with half off wine night, priceless. Two biggest perks of this place....late night food and big goblets for beer, perfection.

They don't take reservations so prepare yourself to wait for a bit. It is worth it though!

They took over this space and did some really cool things. It's beautiful inside, fun location and great patio (plus killer steaks) = a great night out!

Very busy spot, especially on Sundays with awesome steak, fish, salads and a lively bar scene. Nice outdoor patio with great sunlight for lower highlands people watching.
