Done up like an Adirondack lodge and located in a Brooklyn backwater, this spot specializes in cocktails, capacious off-price snacks, and meals of a familiar sort. The waitresses tend to be dressed like Judy Jetson as they bring in appetizers like apple-cheddar fritters, crunchy tiger shrimp, french fries with three dipping sauces, and a generous trio of crab cakes served with a warm corn salad. Bigger feeds include a juicy burger, turkey meat loaf, and a grilled brook trout. But skip the onion rings. While the weather holds, the outdoor tables are one of the best places to chill in Williamsburg.
Best Hot Toddy I have had in a long time. Food is average usually, but good place to drop in for Brunch or as I said a great Hot Toddy if not feeling well. Good for conversation as it usually isn't too loud.
Though Lodge qualifies as a theme restaurant, I'm not quite sure what the theme is. The business card pictures a red Adirondack lodge, while the split-level interior is more Frank Lloyd Wright, furnished with irregular limestone pillars and moody... More »
