The Lodge is Boca's craft beer answer to the Ale House - a no-frills room with a row of steady-flowing taps and a collection of bottles that would make Charlie Papazian blush. Order off a list of 100 indie brews, most of which hail from America. You can opt for something from celebrated brew houses like Lost Coast, Brooklyn, Left Hand, Steel Head, or Great Divide, the Coloradan brew-punk's answer to Coors. Also on tap: pub food such as burgers, pizzas, salads, and wings, delivered in such Bunyan-esque proportions as to quash any beer-induced hunger. A blackjack burger is beefy, cooked to a perfect pink, and topped with spicy pepper jack and thick wedges of avocado. Grilled pizzas look like puffy, open-faced sandwiches piled high with fresh summer vegetables or chipotle BBQ chicken. You'll jones for the house-cut fries and crisp potato chips, but good luck finishing them off after a half-dozen pints and a fat-ass sandwich to boot.

Unless you've got a few Midwestern winters under your belt -- with those five months of frigid, all-consuming solitude that push you just to your breaking point and then a hair more -- you're probably missing out on at least a fraction of the appeal of the Lodge. Sure, it's an affable place no matter your geographic heritage, but for ex-pats from well above the Mason-Dixon line, the Lodge is like a little piece of the motherland. Though the varnish on the "log cabin" walls is a bit... More »
With its rustic, wall-to-wall wood and brick décor complete with moose-antler chandeliers, the Lodge Bar and Grill is the antithesis of any place you'd expect to find in chic downtown Boca Raton. Being an antipode to its Mizner-style surroundings is not what makes this cozy gem stand out; the rotating lineup of 24 imported and microbrews on draft are the main attraction here. With a blackboard denoting what's on tap in chalk scribbling, weekly tastings of savory suds from the likes of... More »
The lodge is a cozy beer bar that is modeled after an authentic ski lodge! Fireplace even included! It is a little off the beaten path of the all the bars in boca but definitely is worth going to more than once. Their beer selection is one of the best in the area and it always changes!!
