After decades as the Arabian Bar ― one of Denver's classic dives ― this LoHi address got a major facelift (everything in it is new), and in January 2013, it opened as Local Bar @ Highland. Owner Gary Cohen says the bar is open to anybody and everybody, and its motto is “flip-flops or Jimmy Choos or Rolexes or Timexes.” The bar has a number of local brews on tap, including Dry Dock, Prost and Tommyknocker ― some of which are offered during its daily Highland (happy) Hour.
