Description

No one will ever call Chicago-style deep-dish pizza a delicate meal, but Little Star in Western Addition makes it taste like more than a cheese bomb. The crisp-edged crust almost has a flaky quality, the tomato sauce is bright and boldly seasoned, and the fillings are fresh. The original storefront has a funky, minimalist appeal, as well as an adventurous wine and beer list and an album-stuffed jukebox. The restaurant offers only a couple of desserts, but one is a lovely housemade cheesecake. The neighborhood loves this place, and so do pizza fans from around town.
