Description

Occupying what was formerly Chez Michallet, in the tenement made famous by the TV series Friends, Little Owl is a reconfigured bistro that adds all sorts of Asian, American, and Italian twists to the standard bistro formula. Thus we have meatball sliders, an appetizer that puts a spherical amalgam of beef, pork, and lamb on a trio of cute buns; a special of softshell crab tempura garnished with a tart Italian salsa verdi; and a surreal, fennel-flavored pork chop so thick you'll be taking most of it home. Go very early or make reservations well in advance.

    A hidden gem. I've been to A LOT of restaurants around the world, and this is by far my favorite. The food, waitstaff, ambiance, and decor made you feel like you were in your own little world.
