Description

Latin House Grill offers compelling Mexican and Cuban-influenced street food. The rib eye flatton ($6) is one of the most popular items. It consists of an open-faced baked or fried (listed as "puffy") flatbread topped with your choice of meat and a house-made sauce, such as avocado-lime or habanero-mango. It's served with and . Meat choices include steak, Philly-style rib eye, and chicken. Owner Michel Sanchez likes to have fun with the menu, so there are always new items and variations to choose from. He frequently offers sausage and potato, or Cabo Wabo fish tacos. The chuchi rice bowl ($6) is another must-have. It's best topped with marinated , and avocado-lime sauce. The chimi-burrito ($6-$7) is a gut bomb: a flour tortilla encases rice from the chuchi bowl and your choice of meat. It's deep-fried and topped with and sauces. Try one with and egg, or chicken and . Other items on the menu include the madlove burger ($6), a delicious beef patty topped with grilled onions and mushrooms, and sneaky nachos ($6), a mountain of nachos, meat, and four cheeses. The food truck also carries Mexican Coke and Jarritos sodas. For dessert, try the balls to the wall ($3): deep-fried brownies blanketed in condensed milk. But don't expect fast food. Most dishes are grilled and assembled as they are ordered. However, it's worth the wait.

Yep, we're hunting down Michell Sanchez in the Latin House Grill food truck for an embarrassment of riches. We'll sit cross-legged on the ground in our jeans and start with the "sneaky nachos," a meaty, cheesy taste-bud tantalizer... More »
