A source for greasy weekend breakfasts and late-night eats, Latin Café 2000 is the tropical equivalent of a diner. While it may not serve the best Cuban food in Miami, it offers an extensive menu of decent breakfast dishes, Cuban sandwiches, and chicken, meat, and seafood entrées. Service is slow at times, but the place is open late, making it a convenient stop when a hunger pang strikes. Plus it has a full outdoor bar, a good place - about the only one in the vicinity - to grab a mojito in the early afternoon. Prices are reasonable; most entrées cost less than $20. There are also about ten lunch specials for each day of the week, and most cost less than $15. Breakfast dishes, popular during weekends, range from $6 for two eggs, hash browns or potatoes, ham, sausage or bacon, Cuban toast, and coffee to $10 for palomilla steak and eggs. If you're in a rush, stop by the window for a morning cortadito and buttery toast to go.
