On the Hollywood Broadwalk since 1992, Las Brisas is more strip house than steak house, but don't get excited -- we're referring just to the fact that of the seven grilled meats served, five are renditions of New York strip. That's not much variety, but the steaks are thick, juicy, and well-charred. Chicken cooked in a casserole for two, with wine, garlic, tomatoes, potatoes, and basil, is worthwhile as well, and a starter of shrimp al ajillo -- four big, fresh, snap-to-the-bite crustaceans in a delicious white wine and saffron sauce -- might be the best thing here. There's not an overabundant selection, and the kitchen is a bit overenthusiastic with the salt, but the alluring beachfront location and solid performance make it a top Broadwalk destination.
