Back in 2006, Thomas Salamunovich started a little stand-alone restaurant designed to feature the burger that, through experimentation and long practice, he'd come up with at the Larkspur Restaurant in Vail and had proved wildly popular at that fancy-pants place. In his words, it was "my vision for the perfect burger experience." And Larkburger comes very close indeed, serving up very good cheeseburgers, as well as even better milkshakes (24 ounces for five bucks, and worth every penny). The setup is fast-casual, with a green emphasis spelled out in a mission statement you can read while waiting.
