This microbrewery and art-nouveau brasserie, located in the home of a former Chuy's mesquite broiler in an Agoura Hills strip-mall, is filled with art inspired by Ladyface Mountain, a small peak next to the restaurant. Owner Cyrena Nouzille, a longtime home brewer, serves up a selection of craft beers from all over California, as well as the place's own Ladyface brand. As the only microbrewery between Ventura and Hollywood, Ladyface Alehouse & Brasserie has about six of its own ales on hand daily, and another three or four available seasonally. On the menu is classic bistro fare: French onion soup, croque monsieur and moules frites. Chef Ray Luna, who's done stints at Spago, Patina and Shutters on the Beach, is a big beer lover who incorporates beer into many of his dishes. Luna is committed to sourcing as much of his meat and produce from local purveyors as he can, and tries to suggest beer pairings for many of his dishes. The patio is equipped with heat lamps and misters that moderate the mercurial inland temperatures, allowing you to enjoy the bucolic views in any season.
