It may be a student-run cafe, but it's from the talented chefs-in-training at the renowned Scottsdale Culinary Institute. Service can be a challenge (learning curve and all), but the food is usually topnotch, and prices can't be beat (roast leg of lamb for $8.95). The menu is short but imaginative, with a selection of soups, salads, panini, pizzas and a few full-plate entrees, all influenced by the robust flavors of the Italian and French Riviera.

We're the first to admit that dating sucks.
