La Victoria owner Jaime Maldonado inherited this Mexican panaderĂa from his father. The establishment serves traditional pastries from south of the border, including the artfully crafted shell-shaped Conchita (made with Maldonado's dad's original recipe). Drink De La Paz coffee from a French press or sample the house Mexican coffee, perfectly seasoned with cinnamon and brown sugar. La Victoria rents out its kitchen to food-cart entrepreneurs like Soul Cocina (which occasionally hosts dinners there), and even slings some of its concoctions (i.e. Venga's empanadas and Wholesome Bakery's vegan pastries).
