Description

Velvet Margarita will serve $5 premium margaritas "every day until the recession ends." Another wallet-friendly feature: complimentary tortilla chips accompanied by warm beans and three types of salsa. The festive restaurant serves Mexican fare (created from the owner's family recipes) such as Ahi tuna ceviche, chicken mole, empanadas, and smoked salmon quesadilla. The outdoor patio, with a DJ and small dance floor, is decorated with painted murals.

    From the outside you would think you were entering some type of underground bar. Don't be fooled! Through the black doors and velvet curtain is a place filled with excellent food and strong drinks. Right now it's 5 dollar margaritas because of the recession. Do you really need another reason to go?

    Excelent happy hour, so nom nom. Packs up at night but the happy hour is perfect!
