La Piazza al Forno, a family-owned, reasonably priced Italian joint, brings plenty of personality to downtown Glendale. In the middle of the action, tossing handmade pizza dough in the open kitchen, is chef-owner Justin Piazza; his wife, Rachel, keeps an eye on the dining room. Tasty wood-fired pies are the biggest reason to stop by if you're in the 'hood, although there are some noteworthy entrees, including the chicken pesto lasagna. And even if you think you're full, trust us -- you'll find room for cannoli or homemade cheesecake as soon as it's in front of you.
