Family-owned since the 1960s, La Cucaracha is a down-to-earth neighborhood joint, festively decorated with murals, trinkets, and pinatas, creating a cozy feel. Nothing fancy here, just icy cold margaritas, big plates of enchiladas, fajitas, chicken mole, quesadillas, and much more. Have a chilled bottle of cerveza with lime, or a shot of tequila, and talk to the warm and welcoming owners, sisters Nina and Gina. A colorful, lively, family-friendly restaurant with generous portions--perfect for a large group. Stop by at happy hour for $3.50 margaritas daily from 3 to 6 p.m., plus Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m. to midnight.
