Sister to El Puerco Lloron in the Market, this Mexican restaurant is decorated with brightly colored walls, rickety tin tables, and enough trinkets hanging from the ceiling to keep a small child fascinated while you finish your carnitas platter in peace. The taqueria does just a few things in order to do a few things well. The most important, of course, are its made-to-order tortillas, which come off the griddle sweeter and more supple than store-bought. Order the taquito combo, and they'll come rolled up around flank steak or long-braised pork carnitas. (The spare tortillas are turned into round tortilla chips.) Also good are the tamales, filled with chunks of roasted pork or tomato-sauced chicken.
