Beer is a major focus at this restaurant, located on a bustling stretch of Second Avenue in the East Village. Although American craft brews are emphasized, you’ll find nearly 100 brands from around the world, including far-flung places such as Finland and Lebanon. It’s all the more interesting because the tapas-style menu is straight-up South American with an emphasis on Peruvian plates. You’ll find ceviches, naturally (try the Ecuadorian seafood one), causas (go for the avocado option), and other small snacks like crispy calamari, yucca fries, and grilled corn salad. Not every dish is a winner, but the grub is well priced and the ambiance fun.
