It's possible to get some sense of La Boucherie's excellence at Seattle farmers markets, where the sponsoring farm sells its meats and cheeses, but serious diners should hop the Vashon ferry and experience Sea Breeze's remarkable pork as its owners intended. The cozy restaurant is wonderfully romantic (especially in winter, when there aren't any local flowers to put on the tables), and the service is kind. But the food is reason enough to make the trip: Order anything made from the rich, streaky meat of hogs who've spent their lives cavorting about the island.
