At long last, there's pie again at Bragg's Pie Factory. A new vegan cafe, Bragg's Factory Diner, has opened in the very spot out of which the Bragg family originally sold cakes and pies in the '40s a... More »
Whoever said "out with the old" clearly hasn't seen this city's collection of well-loved, vintage treasures in all categories. From furniture and decorations to clothing and craft supplies, Phoenician... More »
Beatrice Moore is feeling a little anxious. As the September 4 opening of her Kooky Krafts Shop draws near, she's worried not that no one will show up to buy her chenille wreaths and wildly colorful piñatas, nor that her supply won't meet the... More »
If you never made it to Diane Ribbon and Notion, you have our condolences. Truly, the place was life-altering, if you have an affinity for nostalgia or a need for art supplies. Bob Adams is offering a line of rubber dolls with real pubic hair; Tony Zahn, Moore's life partner for... More »

I doubt she's ever been in a mall or had her hair done, but you would not believe the cool shit she finds in Sun City West thrift stores. And if you don't like her plastic beaded necklace or her perfectly mismatched floral ensemble or her penchant for vintage craft supplies,... More »

When she discovered there wasn't a local artists coalition, she formed one. That group, known as ArtLink, went on to create and host Art Detour, an annual tour of artist studios and galleries that's been growing by leaps and bounds over the past 20 years. In the early '90s, Moore added to that growth herself by starting a movement to... More »
