Just above Washington Square Park sits Knickerbocker Bar & Grill, an unassuming bar that offers much more than you’d expect from a restaurant on University. While the bartenders mix a pretty mean martini, the main selling points are the extensive brunch, lunch, and dinner menus, all available for takeout or delivery. And, though not overly classy, Knickerbocker Bar & Grill manages to mix a relaxed atmosphere with elevated classic American food that ranges from oysters to shell steak to St. Louis-style ribs and entirely housemade desserts.
