Kinga's Lounge is home to many things: poker, live music, comedy acts, karaoke, lots of booze -- and ample patio space to enjoy it. But there is also an extensive, traditional Polish food menu hiding in plain sight amid all the festivities, with a few touches of American bar chow woven in for those content with a cheeseburger or barbecued pork sandwich to back up their vodka shots. Polish food contains as many difficult-to-pronounce strings of consonants as it does spuds, but both are great to try after a few drinks. The Golabki meat-stuffed cabbage rolls are simmered in an entrancing sweet-tart tomato sauce, the house pierogis are packed with spiced ground meat, cheese and savory mashed potatoes, and the grilled kielbasa (handmade from Sawa Meat and Sausage) is delicious in either the fresh white or smoked red version. Kinga's is a jovial watering hole with a full calendar of events every week, but the plethora of Polish provisions is a secret that deserves to be spilled.
