Description

The sprawling King Manor Museum was built by Rufus King, an 18th and 19th century statesman who spoke out against slavery (aI have yet to learn that one man can make a slave of another. If one man cannot do so, no number of individuals can have any better right to do ita). King purchased the land in 1805 (for $12,000) and described his house as anot fashionable, but convenient.a
