The northern Indian food at this Park Slope restaurant verges on the fantastic. While the veggies are rather ho-hum, many of the meat-bearing selections excel, especially the vindaloos (pick chicken), the wonderful minced-lamb seekh kebab, and unexpectedly, some of the South Indian dishes added to the menu to vary the terrain. Best of these is the spicy crab curry.
Until recently, the most common complaint I heard from Park Slope denizens was "There's no good Indian carryout." Then along came KINARA, with fantastic chicken vindaloo, lamb seekh kebab, and--contrary to restaurant type, which is principally Punjabi--spicy crab curry. More »
