Khon's isn't exactly in a neighborhood - in fact, it's the heart of a Midtown strip center several streets away from any houses - but it has a neighborhood feel. It's a haven for creatives looking for a bit of refreshment, be that beer and wine or coffee and tea, open seven days a week, every day of the year. The cooler is stocked with loads of icy brews from around the Gulf Coast, including some hard-to-find Louisiana beers, and the extensive sake menu has a selection of tasting flights. Owner Khon Lu supports the local arts community by featuring both visual art on the walls and live music in the bar.
Great place with great people!
Wine and beer selection never disappoints and the constant art events make this play an adventure every time.

It would be a bummer if Khon's, which flaunts "darts" in its name, didn't do the throwers thing very well. Well, no worries, because the venue's well-kept dartboards make this a destination for rookies as well as the dart teams that sometimes post up inside of the Midtown spot. Khon's also does the "wine," "coffee" and "art" pretty darn well. Plus, if you're sitting outside at one of the curbside/parking lot tables, you may soon find yourself invited inside to one of Mekong Center's... More »
