Description

This Turkish kebab joint--whose rather grand website really gives little impression of the restaurant--is one of those well-lit pit stops you stumble into after an evening of drinking or club hopping. While the gryo (which should properly be called a "doner") isn't quite up to snuff, the cooked-to-order kofte kebabs are--a series of tiny, nicely charred lamburgers. The pepper-laced adana kebab is not bad, either, but for the best things on the menu, go vegetarian: the eggplant dip called soslu platican, say, or the wonderful fried and cheese-stuffed pastries, sigara boregi, sometimes known as "fingers of Fatima."
