Forget St. Louis-style cracker crust. Katie's channels the spirit of the original thin-crust pizza: Naples. Crusts here are thin and crisp and retain a slight tenderness - simple and delicious, with just the right tang of salt. The essential Neapolitan pie, the margherita, is tastily rendered, with plump grape tomatoes providing a burst (literally) of verdant flavor.

great place!
Served on skateboard-size platters, the salads at Katie's Pizzeria are a little exotic (and a little overwhelming). Even the molto semplice insalata mista brings more than enough fresh greens for two; the fried artichoke salad or the grilled tuna niçoise salad could make you forget all about the café's acclaimed pizzas. Katie's makes brilliant use of shaved fennel and never oversoaks the greens in its (simple but inspired) dressings (the mustard balsamic vinaigrette should be... More »
