Cozy, slightly eccentric, semicountrified breakfast/brunch and lunch place in Dogpatch, with a vast array of breakfast choices (available as long as the restaurant is open), somewhat fewer for lunch but covering the American basics of sandwiches, burgers, and salads. When I lived in Potrero Hill I used to eat at the original 12 seater. The owner is a tough nut and threw me out at the first seating for talking on my cell. By the third try I finally got to eat - and it was worth the wait. Outstanding food, excellent bignettes.
