Basic, classic breakfast dishes aren't difficult to come by at the relocated Greenville Avenue landmark. In business for more than 33 years, John's knows how to break an egg or two. Plus, syrup isn't even required for pancakes or the powdered-sugary, cinnamon-y French toast-yeah, they're that good. John's also handles the lunch crowd with standard sandwiches such as BLT, grilled cheese and roast beef, plate lunch dailies and a few Greek noshes that nod to owner John Spyropolous' heritage. John's is a no-frills joint, but when you're starving, there's nothing wrong with a super-short wait and a simple presentation.

great for lunch
john cafe is actually on lower greenville ave. right before ross. best pancakes in town and the rest of the food is worth the trip from anywhere.
The people are really nice and they have a great selection. They serve breakfast all day. I wish they were open for dinner!
