    There is no better precursor to freshwater catfish, Cajun sausage or Southern-fried chicken than a hefty serving of fried okra. The green nubs, fried crisp on the outside in a light cornmeal batter and tender on the inside, are the South's hearty, delicious equivalent of edamame. Enjoy a half or full order at Johnny Rebs', and you'll happily forget you're in California.

    I love this place! Great for happy hour. The cocktails are amazing (try the cucumber gimlet). The location couldn't be better
