Journalists are always threatening to afflict the comfortable, so, please, don't let any of them see this, because folks dining at Joe's are comfortable indeed. They are rendered so by comforts like burgers and falafel burgers; potatoes fried or mashed and served with gravy or aioli or both; big, tasty upscale beers; cute, picturesque Champagne cocktails; a rooftop deck that's legendarily pretty, facing Minneapolis's Basilica dome on one side and bucolic, rolling Loring Park on the other. The only afflictions are the handful of mosquitoes in summer and the long, long winter.

Great rooftop seating in the summer months. And a delicious ecclectic menu.
