Twenty-one different martinis - can you beat that? Probably not, and you won't have an easy time finding another bar that serves duck confit or a smoked-oyster club sandwich, which comes (naturally!) perched atop a potato pancake that's been drizzled with a Pernod-based infusion. But drinking is still the main raison d'etre for JD's, what with the cheap (and addictively inventive) cocktails. That means this place is usually a lot of fun - every holiday represents an excuse for the staff to embark on a decorating frenzy, which gets pretty crazy and makes JD party central around Halloween, July 4, and New Year's.
