This restaurant is the one to set up your photo at in February and mail it as a postcard to all your friends stuck in snow up North. Directly on the beach, the expansive multilevel interior offers sea views at every table, and with seating on the open-air patio, you're at the sand's edge. It's big enough that a full Hobiecat hangs from the ceiling in full sail, yet crowds fill it inside and out, especially on weekends. Many are tourists or snowbirds; a younger crowd comes late and on weekends for drinks and the live bands -- or to watch volleyballers and surfers play. Lobster pizza, chili crab cakes, and chicken satays are among standout appetizers. Favorite fishes -- mahi, salmon, tuna -- are wood-grilled with a selection of sauces. A fair selection of steaks, fillets, and ribs as well as surf-and-turf combos and a burger are there for landlubbers. Seek out the pan roasts and "mariscos" -- seafood stews - where the chef gets to stretch his creativity. Drinks are of note, but expect to drop some bucks -- everybody pays for oceanfront property.
