This sushi spot has changed management several times during the past few years, and each of those changes has resulted in a shift in overall quality. But it's a Japanese and Thai restaurant within walking distance of Florida International University - it will have customers no matter what it does wrong. Quality of service tends to depend on luck of the draw - some servers are friendly and some are not. And food is likewise inconsistent. Popular entrées include a soft shell tempura roll ($8.95), served with sweet vinegar sauce, and gyoza ($4.95), pan-fried dumplings that come in a house ponzu sauce. Sushi sunomono ($13.95) brings three pieces of sushi, six pieces of sashimi, a California roll, and sunomono (a vinegary salad). And, of course, there is all-too-common pad thai ($13.95), commonly ordered for lunch. If this is the closest sushi and/or Thai place in your vicinity, just remember: Beggars can't be choosers.
I wish there were 10 stars for rating. This place has been under new management only a couple months ago and let me tell you that it is the best it has ever been. The sushi is phenomenal!! They really have creative and unique sushi rolls that will blow your mind! Thai food is also amazing. Don' take my word for it, you have got to try it for yourself.
