Description

Since it's opening in winter 2012, It'll Do has become East Dallas' go-to dance club. It's large interior and spacious dance floor are big enough to hold a candle to even the best and largest Dallas night clubs, but without falling privy to any pretentiousness. Young adults, students and trendsetters of every variety gather to dance to the beat of underground DJs spinning everything from indie rock-infused tracks to old school hip-hop mash-ups. It'll Do is the type of club where you are free to dance how you feel--the type of dancing and singing that you do with your hairbrush microphone, in your rubber ducky robe after a shower.

It'll do has been redone by Brooke Humphries, who in Dallas has been earning a reputation for revitalizing neighborhoods. This spot takes it back old school. It's one of the longest standing clubs in Dallas. I know people who say that their grand parents met here! The spot is exactly what you would think by the name- minus the amazing sound system. It's got a touch of the owners style with vintage lighting, and a killer light up dance floor. The building is very warehouse style - huge open dance floor with seating on either side - a long bar in the back with lounge seating area, and like I said before amazing sound system.

Since the club re-do it brought some major headlining acts, but in true Humphries style still supports our local talent. You can catch DJ Red Eye every Saturday in his residency, even when head lining acts are in town. And more recently DJ Sober has taken over a monthly party.

Just a few of the major acts who have come through the It'll Do line up include: Kaskade, Juan Maclean, Heather & Collete, Miguel Migs, Eli Escobar, Mark Farina, Juan Atkins, Jake Shears + More.
Notable appearances: Amanda Lepore, Sharon needles.

I recommend checking out their Facebook to stay informed on upcoming shows. This is a place full of energy.
If you have not been yet - GO!
But I can't promise the music and the atmosphere won't be infectious and addictive.

The former Tejano bar near the corner of Peak and Elm streets was just waiting for the right person. That person was Brooke Humphries, owner of Barcadia, Beauty Bar and the newly opened Mudsmith coffee shop. As a veteran of the Dallas club/DJ/house music scene, she's turned It'll Do into an East Dallas dance club where bottle service and status don't apply. Hopefully, her flag-planting will get some other businesses to follow suit in East Ellum. More »
