The longest views in Hollywood come courtesy of the ocean-facing tables at Hasan Kochan's 17-year-old Turkish restaurant on the Hollywood Broadwalk. Kochan's food is homemade and moderately priced ($3.95 to $9.95 for small plates, up to $17.95 for entrées) - from ubiquitous Mideast staples like spinach pie and baba gannouj to more outré fare: feta and parsley stuffed cigars, little Turkish pizzas topped with lamb and vegetables, tripe soup, red kidney bean stew, a dish of fried sardines, a plate of pan-tossed liver cubes. A side of thick cacik, yogurt, and cucumber salad is as mild as an ocean breeze. Finish with a cup of Turkish coffee and an oh-so-sweet slab of baklava.
