Description
All children should be regularly brought to this Uptown spot, for five good reasons. First, all children should see how difficult it is to flatten yeast dough into a rectangle a yard long and then roll it up like a sweet, cinnamon-filled carpet. Second, they should see how easy it is to slice the long roll into individual portions. Third, they should see how warm and cute they are coming out of the oven. Fourth, they should smell, and memorize forever, the intoxicating perfume of sweet scratch baking. Fifth, and perhaps most important, children provide exceptionally good cover, and they rarely can finish one of the gigantic rolls by themselves.
