Description

This coffeehouse slash bakery has made itself at home in the former Durn Good Grocery, charming neighbors with its fresh baked goods and funky atmosphere. On the sweet side, there are muffins (the blueberry is a superstar), scones, cakes, pies and some of the biggest cookies you've ever stuffed into mouth. (You've got to break 'em to dunk 'em.) Savories include quiche, hand-tossed pizza, bagels, soups and salads. There's also a selection of deli sandwiches. The kitchen promises an old-fashioned approach to cooking. They use hormone-free dairy, free range eggs and do not add preservatives or "any weirdness" to what goes in the oven. A second location recently opened in the Hydro House on Eastlake.
