Irish Snug

Colfax's rowdiest Irish restaurant-and-bar combo is very popular - and for good reason. The ground floor is a traditional pub with a large dining area, big bar and sidewalk patio that's always crowded when the sun is shining; the basement area is a leather-couch-lined rumpus room with plenty of space to lounge and chat - or play fantasy football, or participate in a pub quiz. The menu is served on both floors; it includes a mix of Irish classics and American fare, and there are more than a dozen international beers on tap (as well as just as many bottled offerings). The bar's snug - a private drinking booth imported from Ireland - is a unique, authentic feature, but it's just as fun to enjoy the nightly beer specials on the large gated patio, or in a non-smoking room.
