A grocery store a couple doors down from a Subway, this space is cram-packed with all sorts of exotic foodstuffs. There's a rainbow of curry powders, canned goods, some fresh produce, fragrant sacks of rice and bags of noodles, shelves of chutney and lime pickles. You can rent Indian movies and buy home-cooked pastries, on display by the cash register. Most weekdays, around lunch time, there's a small steam table up front, where you can get a quick bite to go. The lineup typically includes a meat curry and a veggie side. Portions are huge and priced under $10. It's easily enough for two. A good option if you're getting some new tires installed at the nearby Les Schwab.
