Improv Shmimprov 

The roots of Improv Shmimprov trace back to the UCI Drama Department; it was there in 1998 that the comedy group’s founders first got their start. Chris "Shaggy" Wolfe, Jacob-Russell-Snyder, Lindsay Hendrickson, and Nathan Makaryk were performing with "Live Nude People (with clothes on)," the school’s improv team. Soon after, they were selling out shows at the Maverick Theater during its on-and-off stint at the Block—and followed the theater's 2005 move to its current and permanent location in Downtown Fullerton. Performances are based on suggestions from the audience, so you never know what to expect at one of the Improv Shmimprov team's late night shows (other than occasional vulgarity and politically incorrect subjects, of course). — By Jessica Ford
