Description

Imoto, which means 'little sister" in Japanese, is the Asian extension of chef/ partner Clay Conley's highly acclaimed Buccan. And just like its older sister, Imoto's atmosphere is beautiful, yet unpretentious; a stark contrast from many of its neighboring restaurants on highly exclusive Palm Beach. The food matches the ambience; fresh, yet surprisingly refined. Then again, that's what we have come to expect from this 2012 James Beard-nominated chef. The menu features cold sushi rolls and special sashimis (like the tuna with mango, avocado mousse, and yucca) as well as small hot plates (such as the chicken wings with florida oranges, smoked chilies, and mint). The small plate concept -- think Asian influenced tapas -- is intended to encourage sharing. Prices range from under $10 to around $30 for large-size options. We suggest the Peking duck tacos -- our 2012 pick for number one of our 100 Favorite Dishes project.
