This 60-seat neighborhood bistro touts a seasonal menu with global cuisine and affordable wines from around the world. Although the menu changes four times a year (or more depending on the freshest available ingredients), menu items can include things like Rioja-braised chicken with sweet potato spaetzle, homemade spinach and mushroom lasagna, and butternut squash ravioli with walnut brown butter.

Whine not, wine lovers... Il Mercato Cafe & Wine Shop is here. The 3-week-old establishment is the brainchild of restaurant vets Mike and Emily Lynch. (He: certified sommelier form... More »
If you're looking for all-the-usual-suspects sort of wines at prices that make armed robbery seem reasonable, don't bother with Mike Lynch's sweet little Hallandale Beach wine bar and café. On the other hand, if you've got a taste for oenological adventure or you just can't stomach one more overoaked California Chardonnay or overpriced Cabernet Sauvignon, then Il Mercato is your kind of place. Owner and wine maestro Lynch looks for "B-side varietals, oddball wines" that partner well... More »
This is the place to go for unbelieveably great food and impeccable wines at prices that are so reasonable you could cry from joy. The atmosphere is chill, the service is personal and it is always a pleasure to go there. The chef changes up the menu regularly with what's fresh and no matter what she serves - it's great! This is one not to miss. They just added outdining so more people can enjoy!
After eating at Il Mercato Cafe & Wine Shop numerous times, I can't recommend it highly enough. Everything is delish. I mean, seriously, There is NOT one thing I have tried that isn't good. Michael and Emily Lynch (he GM/sommelier and she, the chef) are one amazing team. She cooks eclectic American with European influences, he buys serves and chats about wines and pairings. The space is low-key and neighrhoody in feel. They preach "Eat Global, DIne Local" and with the food they create, it's really easy to do. From polenta fritters and Hominy to Spaetzle, hangar steak and Gnocchi with short rib ragu - the Italian, German and American mixes flawlessly. Try the house made gelato (her dad Michele makes it fresh) for dessert. You'll want to go back time and time again.
