Description

Let's face it -- people aren't coming here just to eat Swedish meatballs, gravlax, and open-faced shrimp sandwiches. They're fueling up on cheap, hearty grub that'll inspire hours of shopping at this mega-retailer. The cafeteria setup makes for an easy bite when you'd rather spend your time perusing the furniture.

Sure, there are places with more stuff, but in our wanderings with offspring, we've run across no place quite as pleasing to both adult and youth palates. Partially, it's the Smaland space itself, which is minimal in the classic Swedish tradition but also exploding with primary colors.
