II Charlies

Description

Named after the two guys who own the place, Two Charlies is a two-story bar and restaurant with a healthy mix of Bubbas and UNT drinkers, so it could hardly be more typically Denton. It hosts a Bloody Mary recipe contest every October and a salsa cook-off every Cinco de Mayo. Both floors are compact, but a covered patio downstairs and balcony upstairs provides a place to escape. The food is typical bar food, and the bartenders are typically friendly and crass. Look out for the drink specials.
